Today, we are truly blessed to welcome a very special guest. She is the granddaughter of Abraham Vereide and was raised in Fellowship House in Washington, DC, where she shared meals and fellowship with religious leaders from around the world. For a time, Corrie Ten Boom whose life of faith and courage has inspired generations, lived with her and her family.  Throughout her own life, my guest has faithfully modeled a deep commitment to intercessory and daily prayer. She is a devoted wife and loving mother, and from her I learned one of life’s greatest truths: when you have Jesus, you have more than enough.  He is not only our awesome Lord and Savior, He is our closest friend, our constant companion, our trusted confidant, and our greatest encourager. He is our steadfast hope and strength through every season.

It is my great honor to invite my mom, Gretha McMurray, to lead us now in prayer.

Let us pray

O, Father, how grateful we are to be able to come to You and worship You, the Lord God of the Universe.  The Creator of heaven and earth.  In the darkness of the night, Your Holy Spirit is drawing us to a place of great peace and comfort.  You hear our joyful praise for all Your blessings and answers to our prayers.  You hear the cry of our heart for forgiveness, healing, guidance and peace

Come into my life in a new and powerful way.  Cleanse me.  Renew me.  Fill me to overflowing with Your Holy Spirit.  O’ how I love You!  Praise the wonderful name of Jesus.

In the shelter of the night, we can talk to You.  In the burdens of my day, I can talk to You.  You are my Father and my God.  Praise Your holy name.

O’ Lord, there are no words to sufficiently express my love and gratefulness for all Your love, mercy and forgiveness to me.  Praise Your name.  Thank, You, Lord.  How I Love You!

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray

Scripture

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.  Psalm 23:1,2

Quote

Today, I know that memories are not the key to the past, but to the future.  I know that the experiences of our lives, when we let God use them, become the mysterious and prefect preparation for the work He will give us to do.  -Corrie ten Boom

Let us know if the Lord laid something on your heart while praying
