Let us pray

Thank you, Lord Jesus for the joy found in this new day.  Thank you for those who are gathered together in Your name.  We are so blessed to be in Your presence and to be called children of the Living God.  You have given us new birth into living hope through the resurrection of Christ Jesus.  What a blessing to know our inheritance of eternal life is secure in You.  You are the same, yesterday, today and forever and we worship Your holy name.  From everlasting to everlasting, You, O’ Lord are God.  We praise You for Your goodness and Your love.

Lord Jesus, we pray You would invade our hearts today.  Remove any thoughts that are not of You and direct each and every step we take.  Restore our vision of who we are in Christ Jesus and may we honor You with our words and with our choices.  Forgive us for not doing what we know is right.  Help us to hold our tongue, so that we would be slow to speak and quick to listen.  Bring forth Your righteousness within our hearts today.

We come before You and pray You would give us ears to hear Your Word and hearts that are devoted to do what it says.  Give us discernment that we would know Your ways.  Fill us with undivided devotion, obedience and godliness.  Wash over this land with revival and renewal that ignites a flame of repentance in our government, in our churches and in our homes.  Fill us with Your boundless love, that we might overflow with Your presence and exude Your character.  Heal broken bodies, restore broken minds, and lead broken souls to the Cross, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father God, we ask You to fill us to overflowing that we would exhibit the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We ask for the Holy Spirit to descend upon believers around that world, that there would be signs and wonders, healings, repentance and restoration in the churches.  Make us a people devoted to You.

We give you all the glory and honor and pray for Your will to be done in each one of us today.  Give us contentment to serve as You would lead and a vision to reach the lost.

In your precious, holy name, we pray

Scripture

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 3:13
